Ledger Recovery Key
The included Ledger Recovery Key provides a private backup method for restoring access to assets. It works with Ledger Stax and Ledger Flex when the device has the required Ledger OS version.
FAQ
What happens if the Ledger Stax is lost? Access can be restored on another compatible Ledger device as long as the Secret Recovery Phrase remains safe and accessible.
What if someone gets the device? The device is protected by a PIN. Three consecutive incorrect PIN attempts reset the device to factory settings.
What is Secure Screen? The Secure Screen is controlled by the Secure Element so the transaction information shown on the device is the information being approved.
Why is Ledger using the term signer? Ledger describes its devices as signers because they sign transactions and verify user intent rather than storing digital value.
